Tom has really impressed since his move from Bristol Manor Farm in the summer, making the step up of two divisions look easy. A solid no-nonsense centre-back who holds his position well, is solid in the air and rarely gets caught out by anything put in front of him. Already established as a regular in the City side a few more years experience at this level could see him mature into a genuinely first rate defender.

Hamblin was Tim Harris' first signing of the pre-season 2006 summer period, arriving from Western League Premier outfit Bristol Manor Farm. He began as a youth team player at local outfit Fry Club and Mangotsfield United before moving to Bristol Manor Farm in the summer of 2005 to gain first team experience. He came to City's attention via new assistant manager David Mehew who coached at the Bristol club prior to joining City. He also comes highly rated by Manor Farm veteran Gary Kemp, himself a former City centre-back who became a Tigers' legend in ten years at Meadow Park.
