Pen Pic:
An all action midfield dynamo who is just as hyperactive off the pitch as he is on it. Has the ability to piece together quick passing movements and provides the forward impetus to get any side out of trouble. Provides a vital fluid link  between defence and attack, and makes the sort of runs from midfield beyond the forwards that keep defenders awake at night.
Unfortunately despite all his best efforts niggling injuries prevented him truly finding his best form at Meadow Park. Scored some excellent goals for City and put in match winning performances, but also disappointed in failing to stamp his authority on some games where his class should have shone through. Left for Merthyr when Hughes was sacked in March 2000, but never took to the Welsh valleys and returned to Meadow Park on another free in July 2000. His original decision to move to Gloucester in the summer of 1999 was a coup for Brian Hughes, making his decision to drop down a division to re-join this summer as player-coach nothing short of a triumph for Callinan. Sadly yet another cut-back at Meadow Park sent him packing and has since joined fellow DML Western side Tiverton Town where he is likely to compete for honours next season.
Chenners career started with Bristol Rovers, earning a pro contract at the Gas before really making his name in local football in four seasons in the Conference with Bath. Moved to Ch@#tenham for £15,000 where his goal scoring form attracted League clubs to watch him. Moved on to Worcester in  1998 but failed to settle at St. George's Lane.
