Video Goals

Steve Talboys vs. Dorchester Town (h) - 18/11/89, FA Cup 1st Rnd.

Sticksie sends City through to the 2nd Round of the FA Cup for the first time in the clubs history with this header, the only goal of the game. Wayne 'Bunter' Noble gets the ball back from a throw in and beats his man on the left wing before sending in the perfect cross for Talboys at the back post. And on my birthday too!

Steve Talboys vs. Cardiff City (a) - 9/12/89, FA Cup 2nd Rnd.

City enter Ninian Park and silence the home fans when they take an early lead. Gloucester clear a corner and break quickly with Wayne Noble running half way up the pitch before finding Lance 'Magic' Morrison. He turns and squares the ball for Steve Talboys who smacks a low right footed drive into the net. 1-0!

Chris Townsend vs. Cardiff City (a) - 9/12/89, FA Cup 2nd Rnd.

The prolific Chris Townsend returns to haunt Cardiff City as he races clear and rounds the keeper for a second half 2-0 lead that sends the travelling Gloucester fans into delirium. It all went wrong in the final minutes with two late Cardiff goals and we narrowly lost the Meadow Park replay 1-0 a few days later with QPR waiting in the wings. Even so, this goal is probably one of the greatest moments in the club's history - it even featured on BBC1's 9 O'Clock News!
